The short version

EuVio has no account system, no server, and no analytics. Your data lives on your iPad and stays there unless you choose to send something somewhere — and every one of those choices is off until you turn it on. We cannot see your data, we do not collect it, and we have nothing to sell. The rest of this page explains each feature in plain language.

Who we are

EuVio is made by Shady Valley Software (Jason Grooms), an independent developer in California, United States. For anything in this policy, contact support@euvioapp.com.

What we don’t do

No accounts. You never register with us, so we hold no profile of you.
No EuVio servers. The app has no backend of ours. There is nowhere for your data to go that belongs to us.
No analytics or tracking. The app and this website contain no analytics tools, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or third-party crash reporters. This website sets no cookies.
No sale or sharing of data. We have never sold or shared personal information, and we have nothing to sell — your data never reaches us in the first place.
No ads. EuVio contains no advertising and never will.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in EuVio — plans, goals, habits, routines, journal entries, notebook pages and drawings, chat history with AI features — is stored locally on your iPad, protected by the device encryption built into iPadOS. If you enable App Lock, EuVio additionally protects itself with Face ID. Deleting the app deletes this data; EuVio also provides an in-app option to erase everything it stores.

Apple Calendar, Reminders, and Health

EuVio works with Apple’s apps rather than replacing them. With your permission, granted through the standard iPadOS prompts:

Calendar and Reminders are read and written so your events and tasks appear inside EuVio and changes you make there flow back. These records remain in Apple’s apps and are not copied to anyone.
Apple Health data you choose (such as sleep) is read to pre-fill your journal and give your day context. If you use the nutrition export feature, values you entered are written back to Health so your other health apps can see them. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never leaves your device except in the single case described under “Optional AI features” below — which applies only if you deliberately enable health context for an AI connection.

You can withdraw any of these permissions at any time in iPadOS Settings.

Email accounts

EuVio can optionally connect to Gmail, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365, or another mailbox that provides secure IMAP and SMTP access, so you can read and manage mail without leaving the app. If you never connect an account, none of this section applies.

What EuVio does with your mailbox

Reads recent messages to display your inbox, and keeps a local cache on your iPad so mail loads quickly.
Marks messages read or flagged, moves them between folders and labels, and moves messages to Trash when you ask it to. EuVio cannot permanently delete your mail — by design, it does not request that capability.
Sends messages and manages drafts when you write mail.

Your mail is fetched directly from your mail provider to your iPad over encrypted connections. Google and Microsoft accounts use their authorization flows, so EuVio never sees those account passwords; the access tokens they issue are stored in the device Keychain. For another mail provider, you enter the mailbox credentials required for IMAP and SMTP, and EuVio stores them in the device Keychain. Disconnecting an account deletes its local mail cache and saved credentials; for Google and Microsoft, EuVio also requests that the provider revoke its access.

Google API Services disclosure

EuVio’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: Gmail data is used only to provide the mail features you see in the app and the user-directed AI features described below; EuVio stores it only on your device; it is never used by EuVio for advertising; it is never sold; and no person at EuVio or Shady Valley Software reads it. If you direct EuVio to send Gmail content to an AI provider, that provider’s separate handling terms apply as described below.

Optional AI features

EuVio’s AI features are off by default, and EuVio provides no AI service of its own. If you enable them, you connect the app to an AI provider you choose and hold an account with — such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or a private model server on your own hardware. When you use these features, your iPad communicates directly with that provider over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection; there is no EuVio server in between.

What can be sent, and when

Nothing is shared automatically. Each category of information — calendar, reminders, health, journal, notebook, mail, and others — has its own switch, per AI connection, all off until you turn them on. Sensitive categories ask for an additional, explicit confirmation that names the provider the data will go to.
If you enable mail context, brief summaries of recent email threads (subjects, senders, and short excerpts) can be included in your AI conversations.
If you use the mail digest feature (“Catch Me Up”), the text of your unread messages is sent to your chosen AI provider to produce a summary — after a consent screen tells you exactly that, and only when you invoke it.
If you select text in a message or note and ask the AI about it, the text you selected is sent as part of your question.

What happens at the provider is governed by the provider. Once data reaches the AI service you configured, that provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply — including whether they retain or train on what you send. Choose a provider whose terms you trust; EuVio gives you the switches, but the provider relationship is yours. API keys you enter are stored in the device Keychain and are never displayed again or included in any log or export.

Google Gemini API notice

Google distinguishes between Gemini API “Unpaid Services” and “Paid Services.” Google states that content and responses submitted through Unpaid Services may be used to provide, improve, and develop Google products and machine-learning technologies, and may be read, annotated, or processed by human reviewers. Google instructs users not to submit sensitive, confidential, or personal information to Unpaid Services. For Paid Services, Google states that prompts and responses are not used to improve its products, although limited safety, security, and legally required processing may still occur. Regional rules can differ. See Google’s current Gemini API terms and billing guidance.

EuVio cannot determine from an API key whether its Google Cloud project has active billing or which regional rules apply. Before allowing Gemini to receive Journal entries, email, health information, Notebook content, or other personal data, verify the project’s billing status and Google’s current terms. EuVio shows a Gemini-specific notice when you configure the connection and when you authorize sensitive data sharing.

Google’s current Gemini API terms also require API users to be at least 18 and describe the service as intended for professional or business purposes rather than consumer use. If you configure Gemini, you are responsible for confirming that your use is permitted under Google’s current terms.

If you enable the optional web research feature, your question text may also be sent to the Brave Search API using an API key you supply; the same principle applies.

Your choices and rights

Because your data stays on your device, you are already in direct control of it: you can read everything EuVio holds inside the app, export it with the Archive, and erase it with the in-app erase option or by deleting the app. Withdrawing mail access, AI context permissions, or Apple permissions takes effect immediately. If you live somewhere with data-protection rights (such as California, the UK, or Canada) and want to exercise them, the honest answer is that we hold nothing about you to produce, correct, or delete — but write to support@euvioapp.com with any question and a human will answer it.

Children

EuVio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — children included, by architecture.

Third-party services and independence

EuVio is an independent product of Shady Valley Software. It is neither affiliated with nor authorized, sponsored, endorsed, or approved by Apple Inc., Google LLC, Microsoft Corporation, Brave Software, Inc., OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other third-party provider named in this policy or elsewhere on this website.

Statements that EuVio “works with,” “connects to,” or “integrates with” a third-party product describe only technical compatibility or optional interoperability initiated and authorized by you. They do not indicate certification, an official product, a license from the provider, partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, sponsorship, or endorsement. Third-party names are used in plain text only, and each service remains governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Apple, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and their respective product and service names are trademarks or other protected marks of their respective owners. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Changes to this policy

If EuVio’s behavior changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Because the app has no way to message you, this page is the authoritative version — it will always describe what the current version of the app actually does.
